Job Description:
Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center invites a
BC/BE Physiatrist with interest in neurorehabilitation to join a
well-established outpatient physiatry group affiliated with a
regional IRF and PM&R residency training program. We have a
collegial interdisciplinary group of physiatrists and neurologists,
including 9 faculty physiatrists and 24 physiatry residents, along
with on-site outpatient speech, occupational, and physical therapy
services. The physiatrist in this position will focus on outpatient
neuorehabilitation care, including providing continuity of care for
patients discharging from our IRF and spasticity management. They
will have opportunities for varied outpatient physiatry practice in
a non-profit regional referral center. They will also educate
future leaders in physiatry and be eligible for clinical faculty
appointments.
- Primarily outpatient clinical practice focused on general
neurorehabilitation.
- Approximately 1 day per week of consult coverage.
- Options for inpatient-outpatient blended practice
available.
- Opportunities are available to develop other sub-specialized
areas of clinical practice, in alignment with applicant interests
and community needs. Our outpatient clinic serves patients with a
broad range of diagnoses including stroke, TBI, SCI, complex
medical and orthopedic rehabilitation, and neuromuscular conditions
including ALS and muscular dystrophy. The applicant in this
position will be supported by subspecialty providers with expertise
in TBI, SCI, EMG and neuromuscular medicine.
- Board-certification/Board eligibility in Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation is required.
- Experience in spasticity management including chemodenervation
and baclofen pump management required.
- Ultrasound (MSK/neuromuscular) experience preferred but not
required.
- Teach residents and medical students in clinic or on the
consult service.
- Weekend inpatient call coverage is shared among members of the
group (6-8 weekends per year). Residents provide on-site 24/7 call
coverage with attending available by phone.
- Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment at WSU Elson S
Floyd College of Medicine and University of Washington Department
of Rehabilitation Medicine.
- Research opportunities with Washington State University (WSU),
University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, University
of Idaho, University of Montana, and Gonzaga University are
available.
- Compensation is between $259,987 and $362,315 per year
- The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or
quality/service incentives, call pay, or extra shift incentives, as
applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME
