Position Overview: As our Senior Multimedia Designer, you will be the creative force behind campaigns that captivate, inspire, and drive action. Your role will involve guiding the transformation of high-level strategic marketing objectives into visually stunning and impactful assets across print, digital, video, email, and social media. You'll leverage our brand, culture, and history to craft marketing content that resonates with a wide array of audiences.
You will lead a small and highly talented team, collaborating with members of the marketing team and others to develop engaging visual assets that enhance our customer experience and drive our business goals. Your work will not only build brand awareness but will also help convert and engage customers at every touchpoint.
Essential Functions:
Design and Content Creation:


  • Develops and produces multimedia content such as graphics and digital assets for various platforms.
  • Creates engaging visual and interactive experiences for marketing and communication purposes.
  • Collaborates and ideates with writers, designers, and developers to produce engaging work that achieves the Banks business goals while providing an ideal customer experience.
  • Quickly brings concepts to life as prototypes or mock-ups, and iterates and refines them based on client or team feedback.
  • Executes original design concepts to support multi- channel marketing campaigns that communicate with a variety of identified personas.

    Brand Alignment:

    • Ensures all designs align with brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across all platforms.
    • Act as a strong brand ambassador, able to speak to and explain the Bank's brand architecture, personality, and purpose.

      Project Leadership:

      • Lead multimedia projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
      • Oversee the production and daily workflow of a team of visual production artists including managing deliverables and setting priorities.
      • Act as the executive producer for campaign-related video productions when working on in-house productions or with independent contractors on-location.

        Technical Expertise:

        • Demonstrate advanced levels of skill and knowledge with Adobe design software, print techniques, video and digital technologies, and industry trends.
        • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, software, and technologies.
        • Persuasively present creative work to clients and leadership while clearly sharing an expert point of view on how creative concepts are strategically aligned with the brand and business goals.

          Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

          • Manage, mentor, and collaborate with internal and external creative teams providing constructive feedback and guidance on best design practices in order to grow the capability of the teams' services and expertise.
          • Work with the Marketing production team to manage resources, including sourcing and managing freelance design, animation, web development, and video help as needed while guiding them to success.
          • Display leadership and inspire team by providing and promoting excellent quality of work, creative exploration and innovation.
          • Innovate and propose creative solutions to complex design needs.
          • Lead others by embracing change and providing feedback to improve both the process and the end result.
          • Build effective internal and external relationships and influences change.

            General:

            • Maintain fiscal and budget responsibility on all assigned projects.
            • Regular, reliable attendance is required.
            • Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.

              Qualifications:

              • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia design, visual arts, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
              • 10 years of professional design experience.
              • Must be able to present a portfolio of original design work that demonstrates a style alignment with our brand.
              • Advanced knowledge of and experience with all graphic media including print, digital, photography, and videography.
              • Strong art direction and photo direction skills with extensive experience in design, copy, and web best practices/guidelines.
              • Experience working closely and collaboratively with development teams on implementation.
              • Experience leading teams with strong self and staff development skills including team recognition, motivation, and conflict resolution.
              • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills, proofreading and editing.
              • Effective leadership skills to direct and support the Bank's objectives.
              • Strong PC based technical skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products and Teams.
              • Experience working with a website content management system (CMS) required, working knowledge with web based programming (HTML and/or CSS) preferred.
              • Ability to effectively manage a multi-disciplinary team including designers, photographers, and videographers.
              • Advanced understanding of branding, design, and marketing.
              • A solid understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) with an ability to learn and retain new concepts or techniques quickly.

                Compensation: $74,806 - $112,209
                The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
