Description: Sunshine Disposal & Recycling has an opening for a Mechanic for our Addy, WA facility. This is a full-time job, Tuesday-Friday, shift is generally 7:00am-5:30pm. Some seasonal overtime may be required. This job has a $250.00 bonus after 6 months of employment and $1000.00 after 12 months of employment. Job Duties:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. This position reports to the Shop Lead.1. Conducts preventative maintenance of all SDR trucks, off road and industrial heavy equipment. This includes daily inspecting, greasing and basic maintenance for road worthiness and effective use on routes and at various locations.2. Prepares and completes paperwork or computer data entry for all service and repair work for documentation and record keeping purposes. This includes maintenance issues documented during pre and post trip truck inspections. Ensures all records are compliant with Dept. of Transportation rules and company policies.3. Performs repairs and/or maintenance on trucks and equipment in the following areas: hydraulics, cylinders, brake repair, and electrical systems, engines and body (may include welding).4. Performs service on vehicles and equipment at predetermined intervals in accordance with company policies, manufacturer specifications and any/all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines/regulations.5. Performs all other duties and special projects for management team members as assigned.6. Attends all necessary meetings as scheduled including safety, training and other company scheduled meetings.Requirements: Completion of Mechanic education programOR 2 years experience in full service Diesel repair shopUSDOT medical Certificate (med card) requiredCDL Class A or B requiredSubject to drug screening as required by USDOT or company policyMust complete other safety and skills training when scheduled by the company Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to: - Constantly (6+ hours per day) sit, stand, walk, stoop/crouch, crawl, grasp, reach, fine finger manipulation - Frequently (3-5 hours per day) climb, lift (up to 50 pounds), pull/push (up to 50 pounds), carry and reach above shoulder level. - Occasionally (1-3 hours per day) Lift (up to 75 pounds), pull/push (up to 75 pounds) - Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)


Compensation details: 28-28 Hourly Wage
